Food Fail

In October I joined the Choose your own Adventure. The theme was food. My challenge was to try something new every week. I cheated big time. I went to a festival and had a Grater Tater. It was a fundraiser from my former high school band. OMG it was good. They use a drill and spiral thingy and shave the potato so it is one long spiral potato chip like creation. Then they deep fry it and add cheese and sour cream. It was divine and well worth the 30 minutes I stood in line for it.

I also added one of the Campbell (Marsalla) packets to a chicken I threw in the crock pot. It was something I've never tried so I counted it. Of course I didn't think to get a picture. In my opinion the month of trying new things was a total fail.

I hope I do better in November for Organize. I have lived in my house for almost three months and I feel like I will never get it straightened out.

  1. There's a hot dog stand by me that makes those, they call them Frips (fry chips) and they are sooo good and covered in cheesy deliciousness.

I'm confident you're going to rock organize. Even if I have to text you every weekend demanding you clean something out!

  3. What are your plans for getting organized? I find I do better when I set really specific goals. I've lived in our new house for about 3 months also, and we've got tons of unpacking left to do. My goal is to unpack a box a day. =)

  4. I'm unpacked mostly, but my goals are the bathroom needs to be more functional, closets need help (hall, coat, and bedroom) My room is a dumping ground for everything so I plan on trying to develop a system for that.

  5. No fail - half success! Trying new foods is a really fun goal - I didn't even think of that or I would have linked up. One thing I've been really curious about is sweet and sour soup. Most Chinese food places have it, but I still always stick with the safer miso option.

  10. I hate moving. Moving seems to declutter but clutter your home at the same time. Good luck this month! I am sure it will go well.

  11. Thanks and that is sooo true. Even with getting rid of a bunch of stuff, I still have stuff everywhere.
