Some big baby news

oh no, not with  me. Today is the 6 year anniversary of me having my plumbing removed. Not to be all TMI but have your yearly pelvic exam.....and if your dr says that you may want to think about having your stuff removed.Go for it. Best decision I ever made. I have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) its a not very fun condition that has a side effect means you have lots of cysts on your ovaries. Its hard if not impossible to get pregnant. That's the the gist of it. There is other things too. Like Blood Sugar issues. Mine tends to be low, like super low at times. But other people I know with it have high BS. weight gain (which I'm dealing with now), and facial hair. Ok there I said it. I am a slave to waxing and plucking. Its annoying but necessary. If you have it or suspect you do send me a message we can chat about it. Seriously though recovery wasnt too bad. I just slept a lot, hot  flashes for 6 months. Now I never have to worry about PMS. Yup its a good trade.

Speaking of weight gain. I'm tired of being fat. I hate that I am wearing Spanx today. I hate that most of the time I feel like a sausage squeezed into a casing. So today on my way to work I stopped and bought this.
Its a portable bike thingy. Golds Gym calls it a body cycle.

I wanted a recumbent bike but I have no room for one at home. I saw this and thought it would be cool to keep under my desk at work and pedal while I work. I've had it maybe 45 minutes and I will tell you getting your feet to stay on the pedals is hard it has a strap but my feet are small so it does nothing for me. I think having a Velcro strap would be better. It also slides some. That isn't a huge deal but it is a minor flaw.

Oh yeah back to the baby news. Kate is in labor. Everyone in the world is on baby watch. I am on Suri watch this is the day that Suri's burn book has been dreading. I can't wait to read her reaction to the birth.

  1. 'Poc had one of those mini-pedal devices for the longest time, and it worked well.

If you're having trouble keeping your feet set on it, try scooting it forward or backward relative to where you're sitting. (Ideally, you want your feet applying forward pressure to it almost as much as the pressure applied in making the pedal motion.)

  3. I've actually always wanted one of those desk bikes. I spend so much damn time at a desk working on a computer, might as well get a work out at the same time and kill two birds with one stone, right?

    1. That was my thought. I sit at a desk almost all day. I might as well be productive.
