Did you guess Lexington, KY and Rupp Arena? Well why not?
Greg's friend Steve who was from Ky and then moved to California came for a visit. He is a HUGE UK fan (me? not so much) so we met him at the Hyatt which is attached to Rupp and hung out all Saturday. It was fun. Steve is hilarious. I would have been surprised if I hadn't liked him though. You know when you date someone and you don't really like their friends but you tolerate them? Well I don't have that with Greg. I have honestly loved everyone of them that I have met. They have all been so much fun. I don't know if he feels that way about my friends though because other than a friend of mine that is engaged to a friend of his he has only met some of my friends once.
I drove them around we had to find a liquor barn because Steve didn't know that Kentucky doesn't sell beer or liquor on Sunday's.
Then we had to drive by University of Kentucky's campus. I blasted RISKAY (google her on youtube) she is absolutely NOT work safe and if you get offended by lyrics easily don't google her. The song I played was called Smell yo Dick. So you get an idea of what kinda of rap it is. I happen to think she is hilarious and awesome. The guys can't stand rap so that's why I played it...with the windows down and radio up :) So much fun.
As we were leaving on Sunday I had to snap this pic of Steve. He is kissing center court in case you are wondering what the crazy guy is up to. I have no idea why it turned out blurry.
So what else have I been up to? Well I finally read the Lucky One. Is it just me or can Nicholas Sparks write a tear jerker. I am not even a big crier and I find myself getting all weepy. Felt the same way when I read The Wedding. Unlike, what seems like everyone else I am not really a fan of The Notebook. Finally got all my files organized. Although that had more to do with the 10 hour search for my diploma.
Last night the girlies and I had to run to the store. I looked like complete crap. My hair was in a bun, I had baggy clothes on, and no make up. Guess who we run into? A guy I dated for a few years in grade school. I should add that we were about 2 hours from where he and I went to grade school. Anyway, we passed them and it was one of those things when he and I both stopped and turned around and looked at each other. I then kept walking but the girls wanted 20 questions about who he was. We ran into him again later and he asked me for my number. I said nope, I can't, I have a jealous boyfriend. and then kept walking. Although, I don't really think Greg is very jealous at all. But, I didn't want to open that can of worms with the ex again. The girls were a little freaked out by the whole encounter. I have never been flirted with while they have been around before and they did not like it at all.
I think I am not pretty much caught up and am ready for my HF4F link up tomorrow and the weekend.
HAHA RISKAY!!! I saw her on tosh and I had to hear that whole song.
ReplyDeleteDope Girl and Krispy Kreme are my faves as well. You are officially the only person I have ever encountered who know (or admitted)Riskay.
Delete<3 Kentucky! And I love liquor barn. :) Nominated you for an award, come check it out!
ReplyDeleteThe guys were laughing because I knew how to get to every liquor barn in Lexington.
DeleteShoot! I nominated you for that award too! I wasn't supposed to nominate someone who had already been nominated. Oh well. I guess you're double-awesome! :o)
ReplyDeleteOh and I totally forgot to comment about your post like I meant to! ... That whole running into your ex thing sounded like something from a sitcom! So awkward!
ReplyDeleteyou guys are so sweet for nominating me. Thank you. Running in to him was exactly like a sitcom. I have gotten lots of laughs out of that. What are the odds?
